Joy is a certified Montessori educator with a deep commitment to helping students develop the executive functioning skills they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom. Now entering her third year at Elevate Community School, she serves as our Executive Functioning Coach, where she combines her passion for student growth with a thoughtful, individualized approach to supporting learners.

Joy holds a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Master's degree in Emotional and Behavioral Disorders, equipping her with the knowledge and experience to support a wide range of learners in meaningful, developmentally appropriate ways.

She believes that true learning happens when students feel emotionally and physically grounded. Her approach reflects this belief, blending practical executive functioning strategies with social-emotional support to help each student grow in confidence, independence, and self-awareness. Joy excels at building authentic relationships and is deeply fulfilled by walking alongside young people as they navigate both challenges and successes.

Outside of school, Joy enjoys traveling, practicing yoga, spending time outdoors with her husband, and making memories with their baby son.
