Amber Melnyk Bio

Originally from Maryland, Amber earned her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Leadership from Stevenson University back in 2007. Her passion for teaching led her to discover the Montessori philosophy during her college years when she helped out with after-school programs and summer camps at a local private school.

After college, Amber pursued her Montessori certification in Charlotte, where she then taught for over seven years. Her teaching philosophy is firmly rooted in the Montessori principles of individualized learning, hands-on discovery, child-led exploration, and holistic development. She believes in creating environments where every child feels empowered to learn at their own pace and flourish.

​Having taken time to be a stay-at-home parent, Amber is excited to transition from Elevate parent to Elevate parent and teacher! She currently resides in Huger with her husband, daughter and two foster dogs. When not in the classroom, she enjoys reading, discovering new local places, traveling and enjoying Friday movie and pizza nights.
