Amber Melnyk Bio

Originally from Maryland, Amber earned her Bachelor's in Early Childhood Leadership from Stevenson University in 2007. Her passion for teaching began during her college years when she discovered the Montessori philosophy while helping with after-school programs and summer camps at a local private school.

After graduating, Amber completed her Montessori certification in Charlotte, where she taught for more than seven years. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in the Montessori principles of individualized learning, hands-on discovery, child-led exploration, and whole-child development. She believes every child deserves an environment where they feel empowered to learn at their own pace, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Now in her second year of teaching at Elevate, Amber is grateful to be both an educator and a parent within the Elevate community. She lives in Huger with her husband, daughter, and two foster dogs. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading, discovering new local favorites, traveling, and spending Friday evenings with her family enjoying pizza and movie nights.
