Adrienne Day Bio
With a background in engineering and a heart for education, Adrienne began her teaching journey 14 years ago after discovering a passion for education while volunteering as a tutor for English language learners.
She holds a Bachelor's degree in International Relations and Political Science, along with graduate studies in Curriculum Development and Administration from the University of Florida. Adrienne has a unique background teaching and working in a variety of educational settings, including traditional, Montessori, Waldorf, and forest schools, which has shaped her holistic and child-centered approach to learning.
She went on to teach in Title I schools before opening her own small Montessori children’s house in Jacksonville, FL. After relocating to South Carolina and connecting with co-founder Stefanie, the two shared a vision to create a school where children could thrive emotionally, socially, and academically.
Out of the uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic, Elevate Community School was born as a safe and joyful space that prioritizes kindness, community, and the development of the whole child over standardized testing. As Head of School and Oak Room teacher, Ms. Day brings warmth, experience, and a deep belief in the power of education to nurture confident, compassionate learners.
